But... it's not the Sahara. It does rain in the dry season and it it's still around 30 degrees celcius in the wetter season - because of this, prices don't really change throughout the year.
I've been at all sorts of times of the year and can honestly say it's more about the likelihood of rain rather than "how much rain"
There's still plenty to do if it does rain so don't let that put you off!

We went in June (Monsoon season) last year and it rained mainly at night but not that much really in 2 weeks we had one day where it rained for most of the day, the rest of the time it was really hot and sunny and we had a fantastic holiday

do you mean to miss the monsoon season? avoid October.. (though it could still be a bit rainy nov) which island are you going to? We went to the Addo atoll the most southern island, in November time which was supposed to their summer.. it rained.. but at least it was warm rain, so no complaints ;-)
