Beautiful Islands which can be called paradise in the world.Resorts are calm & quiet.Tranquility surronds the resort with aqua coloured water around the Island. The whole Island is occupied by the resort. For newcomers it is of course boring but when you get used to the resort life you will be able to cope with.Night life found only in resorts. In the City of Male' there are hotels and cafe's which cater to all kinds of foods since different types of nationalities arrive at Male' for excursions. No problem for electronics. There are leading sales establishements in the city for electronic goods with international warranty. In resorts there are see transport arranged for employees who wish to go to Male' city during their off days. There, you can enjoy the change.Just an escape from the resort life.At least once a month you can have off days.Speed Boat Transports are available from resorts which are situated within the distance of 3 to 4 hours boat journey whereas see planes are employed for transportation from resorts which are far from the Airport at Hulhule Island which is the closest neighbouring Island to Male' the capital city about 2.5 km distance. In Male' city luxury lodgings are bit expensive and there are guests houses at affordable prices too.Have the job and come and enjoy it.

Maldives is 100% muslim country. So, no pork, no alcohol, no night life other than in the resort (strictly to capital and local island). Transport is a big question mark. There are public transportation provided by the government to resort. To get around, you really need to know the locals. Cafe, restaurant are mainly on European based food, not so much of Asian, although it's increasing because of the demand. Which resort you are going to? Maybe u can drop me an email patricia_alvina@yahoo.com, if you are intersted to know more about Maldives. I've been there for 4 years.
